How to prepare your PDF
Choose a PDF
Select one unlocked PDF of at most 12 MB and 500 pages. The file is read locally in your browser. Password-protected, damaged or empty PDFs cannot be prepared.
Enter page numbers or ranges
Use the Pages field after the preview loads. For example, 1, 3-5 keeps the first, third, fourth and fifth pages. Use the preview’s page positions, which may differ from page numbers printed inside the document.
Name and download the excerpt
Give the output a name and choose Download PDF. The original file stays unchanged. Leave Pages blank if you want to download the whole PDF instead.
Page order and range rules
Selections preserve the order you type. For example, 5, 1-3 puts the fifth page first, followed by the first three pages. Repeated page numbers are included only once. Descending ranges, zero and page numbers beyond the document are rejected.
To remove a page, list the pages you want to keep. The tool creates one output PDF, not a separate file for every page or range. Multiple PDFs cannot be merged in one upload.
An excerpt is a new document
Downloading all pages without a selection preserves the original file bytes. Selecting or reordering pages creates a new PDF by copying those pages. It is not the same signed document, and any original digital signature should not be treated as authenticating the excerpt.
Page selection is not redaction. It does not remove hidden information from pages you keep, edit text, apply OCR or repair damaged PDFs. Check the downloaded result before using it as a final document.
Common questions
Can I extract the same page twice?
No. Duplicate page numbers are removed. You can keep each page once and arrange the selected pages in the order you enter.
Will text remain selectable?
Page selection copies the PDF pages rather than taking screenshots. Text that was selectable in the original remains page content; a scanned image does not become searchable text.
