How to prepare your PDF

  1. Choose your PNG files

Use Choose files or drag images into the upload area. You can select up to 40 PNG and JPEG images, within the size and pixel limits below.

  2. Review the page sequence

Each image becomes a PDF page. Check the preview to confirm the order supplied by your file picker. The page dimensions follow the image’s proportions rather than a fixed paper size.

  3. Save the pages you want

Name the file and download. To change the output order, enter page numbers such as 3, 1-2. Leave Pages empty to include all the images.

Screenshots, transparency and image quality

PNG is commonly used for screenshots, diagrams and images with transparent backgrounds. DeckExport embeds the PNG rather than converting it to a JPEG first. Transparent areas may appear white in a PDF viewer, so check the preview when background color matters.

There is no OCR step. Text in a screenshot stays part of the image and does not become searchable or selectable text. Animated PNG files are not supported; export a static PNG before converting.

Local image limits

The selection must fit within 12 MB total, 40 images, 16 megapixels per image and 24 megapixels combined. Pixel limits matter even when a highly compressed PNG has a small file size. The completed PDF must fit within the 48 MB PDF limit.

Choose fewer screenshots or export smaller images if you exceed those limits.

Common questions

Can I mix PNG and JPEG images?

Yes. Select them together to create a single PDF with one page per image. Review the order in the preview before saving.

Can I choose A4 paper or add margins?

No. Each page follows its source image’s proportions. Prepare the desired canvas size and margins in an image editor first if you need a specific printed layout.

Can I combine a PNG with an existing PDF?

Not in one selection. The upload supports one PDF or a group of PNG/JPEG images. It does not merge images into an existing PDF.
