SHARED LINK CONVERTER

Google Drive to PDF — Save a Shared File

Save a supported file shared through Google Drive. Existing PDFs can be previewed and trimmed to selected pages; a shared PNG or JPEG becomes a PDF page.

How to convert your link

  1. Share an individual file

Copy the drive.google.com/file/d/… link for a PDF, PNG or JPEG. The file must be publicly accessible and allow downloading. A folder link does not identify a file to convert.

  2. Paste the full link

Include any resourcekey parameter. Some shared files require it even when their sharing setting is public. DeckExport retains that key when preparing the file-download request.

  3. Preview and save

Convert the file, check the preview and set a filename. For a PDF, enter page numbers or ranges if you only want an excerpt. Download the result to your device.

Stored files and native Google documents

A PDF stored in Drive is different from a native Google Docs document. This route downloads an existing supported file; it does not convert every format that Drive can preview. DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, ZIP, video and folder links are not supported here.

Use the dedicated Docs, Slides or Sheets converter for a native Google file. To work with another stored format, export a PDF in its original application first, then upload that PDF here.

Access restrictions and file limits

A file that opens in your signed-in browser may still be private. Workspace restrictions, disabled downloads or an extra confirmation page can prevent the server from receiving the file. Ask the owner for a downloadable share link or obtain the file through Drive and choose Upload a file.

Downloaded files must fit within 12 MB. PDFs support up to 500 pages; images must fit within 16 megapixels each. DeckExport does not connect to your Drive account or list your folders.

Common questions

Why should I keep the resourcekey parameter?

Google requires a resource key for some link-shared files. Removing it can make a valid share link stop working. Paste the complete link from Drive’s Share dialog.

Can I download a whole folder as a PDF?

No. Choose one supported file. You can combine PNG and JPEG files already on your device with the upload option, but this converter does not crawl Drive folders or merge multiple PDFs.

Can I use a restricted file without making it public?

Download it through your authorized Drive session, then choose Upload a file here.
