How to convert your link
Check the share settings
In Google’s Share dialog, the document must be available to Anyone with the link. The owner must also allow downloading, printing, and copying for viewers.
Paste the regular share link
Copy the docs.google.com/document/d/… sharing link. The normal /edit link works; DeckExport requests the PDF version. A published /document/d/e/…/pub page is not a supported sharing link.
Review the exported pages
Check page breaks, images and tables in the preview. Leave Pages empty to save the whole document, or enter a range such as 2-5 to save an excerpt.
Check the page layout before downloading
PDFs have fixed pages, so a pageless Google document can look different when exported. Wide tables, images and page breaks deserve a quick check in the preview. DeckExport uses the PDF Google supplies; it does not reflow your text.
For control over margins, paper size, headers and footers, adjust the document in Google Docs before exporting. Google recommends switching to pages format when you want to control the printed layout. The resulting PDF must fit within 12 MB and 500 pages.
Sharing permission is separate from export permission
Being able to read a Google document in your signed-in browser does not make it public. A workspace-only file, an organization restriction, or disabled downloading can block conversion. Ask the owner to enable the necessary sharing and export settings, or send you a PDF.
This page is for native Google Docs documents. Presentations, spreadsheets and stored Drive files have their own converters below. A Word file stored in Drive must first be opened and converted in Google Docs, or exported to PDF in Word.

Common questions
Does DeckExport need access to my Google account?
No. DeckExport opens public links without connecting to your Google account. It cannot read files that require your login.
Can DeckExport convert a Google file with downloading disabled?
No. Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drive require export or download permission. The viewer-capture fallback is available for supported DocSend and Speaker Deck viewers.
Will links and selectable text stay in the PDF?
DeckExport uses the PDF Google provides and preserves its contents when selecting pages. Selectable text and working links depend on what Google includes in that export.
